Picasso at Nelson-Atkins Museum

Save the date: March 18th

Arts In Ministry presents another great outing.  This one is to see Picasso at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity now showing only at the Nelson-Atkins Museum.  “Through the Eyes of Picasso” explores his life-long fascination with African and Oceanic art as well as works from the Americas uniting his paintings and sculpture with art that fueled his own creative exploration.  The allure of these masks and sculptures was in the artists’ exploration line, abstraction of the human body, and representation of metamorphosis.  This exhibit includes works Picasso collected, lived with and kept with him through numerous studio moves, still owned by his family, and others that are in the Picasso Museum in Paris.

If you’re not a member of the Museum there is a charge for the show of $14 normally $18.  Parking is $8 so car-pooling is suggested.  Meet at church for car-pooling at 1:15 p.m.  Be at the museum at 2:00 p.m.
